Call meeting to order at 7:05pm: Anni Holm, Sara Phalen, Adriana Sarellana, Buddy Plumlee, Uwe Gsedl, Heidi Kuharich and City Liaison Rosemary Mackey in attendance. 2. Approve Minutes of January 3, 2019: Anni made a motion to approve the minutes with the correction of the date from 2018 to 2019, Adriana seconded, all in favor, minutes passed 3. 2019 Community Art Banner Exhibit Update: it was noted that it is our 10" anniversary, we so far have 27 artist that have submitted and from some new people which is great, we will not be extending the deadline unless there are circumstances with anyone who has contacted us and asked for more time-give them no more than one week, and we will allow Matthew Hoffman (our juror) to select from the ones that don’t qualify per se (i.e. size) as well and we will deal with working with the artist if it is selected; we will ask Matthew to select 15-25 images (only one from each artist); Give him the images on the 8" and ask him to get them back to us by the 15" or ask him how much time he may need (Sara will contact him asap to make sure he will have time in that time frame) 4. The Butterfly Effect Update a. Locations-Rosemary distributed the location list and the commission went through it (Sara will check her list as we do not have 29) b. Artist Assignments-went through list, still working on asking a couple of artists, commissioners each took some to contact and will get back to everyone to ensure we have artist for each needed location c. Publicity -brochure will include a detail picture of the butterfly -Uwe will design the brochure once he is back from Germany d. Jaun Chawuk project -need a plan (if we want to pursue Metra we need active participation from the commission to use that location but most likely this cannot be done this year) 5. The Guardians-A Film About Monarch Conservation a. Will be shown at Gallery 200 on May 17" at 7pm and at the High School at an unscheduled date b. PMV will screen other showings in small groups as well throughout the year (Warrenville In Bloom, reception with American in Bloom judges, DREAM kids, etc.) 6.
