Call meeting to order at 7:05pm: Anni Holm, Buddy Plumlee, Uwe Gsedl, Heidi Kuharich, Sara Phalen, Gail Cannata and City Liaison Rosemary Mackey in attendance. 2. Approve Minutes of January 31, 2019: Uwe made a motion to approve the minutes with the correction of the date from 2018 to 2019, Heidi seconded, all in favor, minutes passed 3. Final Banner Images and Layout: Sara reported that Matthew Hoffman selected 21 out of 39 of the submissions; the commission was in agreement with moving forward on those images, Sara will contact the artists to get the hi res images and send them to Uwe with the goal to have mockups for the March meeting. 4. Proposed Butterfly Mural: discussion of possible locations, agreement that Tampico would be a prime location especially for commuters coming and going through the city; discussion of 16ft x 20ft sections of Tampico painted like boxcars/train cars, would need to be a standardized size; questions about painting directly on the building and it was discussed painting on aluminum panels (8ft x 4ft); Sara is working on getting a sketched concept with rational from Juan Chawuk for the proposal; and need letter from Tampico that they will allow this on their property; need to prepare itemize budget; have him paint inside in the gallery; present to Public Affairs March 25" -Buddy will aim to present, we can also check with Anni; Sara will reach out to Jackie Gutierrez for a signed letter; Tampico is willing to provide some funding (perhaps they could feed Juan during his stay); Sara will send presentation to Rosemary and Buddy by March 15" 5. The Butterfly Effect Update: commission went through the full list of the locations and artists; PMV will have the small ones for sale by the weekend and Rosemary will help push that 6. Arteculture: a. Call for Art: Rosemary printed out what we had on the website last year: updates needed dates-drop off dates, opening reception First Friday May 3 i. Drop off Thursday at Kindred 10am-7pm, or if they can’t do that date they need to drop off at Gallery 200 the weekend before ii. Kindred may do a concert Friday, May 17% iii. Pick up Wednesday June 5" or else it gets moved to the Gallery for pickup during open hours b.
