1. Call to Order, Roll Call and Establishment of a Quorum
Call meeting to order at 7:07 pm: Anni Holm, Uwe Gsedl, Adriana Sarellana, Gail Cannata, Buddy
Plumlee, and City Liaison Rosemary Mackey in attendance.
2. Approve Minutes of February 21, 2019 Meeting
Approval of minutes from Special Meeting on Thursday, February 21, 2019 has been moved to
the next agenda.
3. Review and Recommend Changes to Executive Summary of Master Plan
a. Discussion of Master Plan has been moved to next agenda to give commission members
more time to review summary.
b. It was brought to our attention that we cannot refer to the document as an “Executive
Summary” as this implies it is a short document that summarizes a longer report or
proposal.
4. Update on The Butterfly Effect
a. There are a small number of butterflies that still need to be picked up.
b. Artist Kathy Steer Steere has pulled out of the project. Artists Erica Lopez and Miriam
Fernandez have been added. Anne Anni and Buddy will be speaking to 2 more artists to
complete the 29 needed.
c. Information has gone out to the public to promote the 36 total butterflies, 29 around
the city and 7 at the Kruse House Gardens.
d. Artist Heidi Morris is displaying her butterfly at Gallery 200 to show the progression of
her creative piece and create public interest in the project.
e. Buddy stated a mounting block of 8” as opposed to 6” might be a better option for more
support when staking into the ground

Review Proposal for 2019 Mural Project
a. No proposal to review yet. Item has been moved to the next agenda.
b. Tampico has not confirmed location for mural
c. Buddy advised aluminum panels would be too expensive. Suggestion was made to use
plywood that is treated and primed. May need maintenance every 2 years. We also
need to take into consideration any tubing/piping on the site where mural will be
located.
Update on 2019 Banner
Uwe brought in drafts to review. Final prints will be sent to Sarak Sara and smaller copy to
Rosemary. Sarak Sara will be sending proofs to artists for approval.
Strategize Recruitment of artists for Artéculture
a. We have received two submissions so far.
b. Adrian of City Hall has translated submission form to Spanish
c. Buddy suggested jurying art before it goes up and having overflow at Gallery 200 if we
receive an abundance of submissions
d. All commission member were encouraged to promote through social media and word-
of-mouth
Other Business
a. €eete-Cecilia Green of Bartlett, is part of a non-for profit organization and informed us
of an exhibit at Villa Olivia. Bartlett currently does not have an art commission but she
has extended an invitation to us and Gallery 200 members to work with her community.
b. Rosemary presented an idea to host a meet and greet event for artist from various
communities as a means to network and possibly provide a tour of the gallery/ city.
