MINUTES
PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE
Monday March 25, 2019 7:00 P.M.
Call to Order, Roll Call, and Establishment of a Quorum.
Chairman Chassee called the meeting to order at 7:00pm. Roll Call found Brown,
Hallett, Swiatek and Short.
Alderman Birch Ferguson and Gagliardi were not in attendance.
Approval of Minutes.
A. Public Affairs Committee Minutes of February 25, 2019. Alderman
Brown made a motion, seconded by Alderman Swiatek to approve the minutes of
the Public Affairs Committee meeting. Voting Aye: Chairman Chassee, Alderman
Brown, Hallett, Swiatek and Short. Voting Nay: 0. Motion carried.
Public Participation / Presentations.

A. Ordinance No. 19-O-0004 — An Ordinance amending Chapter 8, Article I,
Administrative Adjudication System of the West Chicago Code of Ordinances
Alderman Swiatek made a motion, seconded by Alderman Brown. Voting Aye:
Chairman Chassee, Alderman Brown, Hallett, Swiatek and Short. Voting Nay: 0.
Motion carried.
B. Ordinance No. 19-O-0006 — Amending Chapter 11, Article II, Division 6,
Affecting Animals of the West Chicago Code of Ordinances - Alderman Swiatek
made a motion, seconded by Alderman Brown. Voting Aye: Chairman Chassee,
Alderman Brown, Hallett, Swiatek and Short. Voting Nay: 0. Motion carried.
Cc. Proposed 2019-2020 Ride DuPage Pilot Program - Alderman Brown made a
motion, seconded by Alderman Swiatek for discussion. Voting Aye: Chairman
Chassee, Alderman Hallett, Swiatek and Short. Voting Nay: Alderman Brown.
Motion was not carried to the consent agenda.
D. Stations of the Cross — St. Mary Catholic Church - Alderman Swiatek made a
motion, seconded by Alderman Brown. Voting Aye: Chairman Chassee, Alderman
Brown, Hallett, Swiatek and Short. Voting Nay: 0. Motion carried.

E. Memorial Day Race —- ABD Cycle Club - Alderman Swiatek made a motion,
seconded by Alderman Brown. Voting Aye: Chairman Chassee, Alderman Hallett,

F. Homecoming Parade — West Chicago Community High School - Alderman
Swiatek made a motion, seconded by Alderman Brown. Voting Aye: Chairman
Chassee, Alderman Hallett, Swiatek and Short. Voting Nay: 0. Motion carried.
G: 2019 Funding Agreement — Mexican Cultural Center DuPage - Alderman
Swiatek made a motion, seconded by Alderman Brown. Voting Aye: Chairman

9. Adjournment. Alderman Swiatek made a motion to adjourn, seconded by
Alderman Brown. The motion was approved by voice vote, and the meeting
