Rosemary spoke with Ben from the library regarding lighting/landscaping for sculpture. He suggested we attend their June 24" meeting to present proposal. After discussion with commission it was decided we would wait for their August meeting to give us enough time to present various options and digital renderings. b. One option for lighting would be to pull lighting from near by light pole to the sculpture. Estimated cost for this would be $1500, with library paying for installation and city picking up the cost for the light bill. c. Some other suggestions were to add white stone gravel on base of sculpture, approximately 4ft in radius, to give it the illusion of height. Installing Evergreen, Pine, or Arborvitae trees behind the sculpture to make it standout against the brick wall of the library. Adding lighting to create a strategically placed shadow against the building. Anni will create digital renderings to get a visual of the stone and trees. Anni and Sara will play with lighting at the site. 4. Other Business a. Tampico Mural-Buddy made recommendation to create mural on aluminum panels. The total estimate for the cost of the mural is $4750. (Plus $100 for artist plaque and $100 to be added to future budgets for maintenance i.e. UV protection topcoat needed every 2-3 years). i. Housing and Food $500 ii. For the artist $3000 iii. Paint materials $700 (primer, topcoat, paint) iv. Aluminum panels $550 Sara to ask John for quote on installation.
