MINUTES
PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE
Monday, September 23, 2019 7:00 P.M.
1. Call to Order, Roll Call, and Establishment of a Quorum.
Chairman Chassee called the meeting to order at 7:00pm. Roll Call found Brown,
Hallett, Birch Ferguson and Short.
Alderman Swiatek was not in attendance.
2. Approval of Minutes.
A. Public Affairs Committee Minutes of August 26, 2019. Alderman Birch
Ferguson made a motion, seconded by Alderman Brown to approve the minutes of
the Public Affairs Committee meeting. Voting Aye: Chairman Chassee, Alderman
Brown, Hallett, Birch Ferguson and Short. Voting Nay: 0. Motion carried.
3. Public Participation / Presentations.
A. Sara Phalen — Prairie Path Bike Trail Historical Signs. Ms. Phalen
distributed a hand out with detail information on the signage which will be added to
the minutes. Alderman Birch Ferguson made a motion, seconded by Alderman
Brown to move forward with this project and return to Committee with agreements,
4, Items for Consent.
A. Resolution No. 19-R-0044 — A Resolution approving an Intergovernmental
with the Board of Education of West Chicago School District No. 33. Alderman
Brown made a motion, seconded by Alderman Birch Ferguson. Voting Aye:
Chairman Chassee, Alderman Brown, Hallett, Birch Ferguson and Short. Voting
Nay: 0. Motion carried.

A. West Chicago Police Department Monthly Report.
9. Adjournment. Alderman Birch Ferguson made a motion to adjourn, seconded by
Alderman Brown. The motion was approved by voice vote, and the meeting
adjourned at approximately 7:20pm.
