MINUTES
PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE
Monday August 26, 2019 7:00 P.M.
Call to Order, Roll Call, and Establishment of a Quorum.
Chairman Chassee called the meeting to order at 7:00pm. Roll Call found Brown,
Birch Ferguson, Swiatek, Gagliardi and Short.
Alderman Hallett was not in attendance.
Approval of Minutes.
A. Public Affairs Committee Minutes of July 22, 2019. Alderman Gagliardi
made a motion, seconded by Alderman Brown to approve the minutes of the Public
Affairs Committee meeting. Voting Aye: Chairman Chassee, Alderman Brown,
Birch Ferguson, Swiatek, Gagliardi and Short. Voting Nay: 0. Motion carried.
Public Participation / Presentations.
Items for Consent.
A. Resolution No. 19-R-0039 — Authorizing the Mayor to Execute a
Maintenance Agreement for the Commissioned Work of Juan Chawk at
Supermercado Tampico with Jose Ocampo and Martha Ocampo. Alderman Birch
Ferguson made a motion, seconded by Alderman Swiatek. Voting Aye: Chairman
Chassee, Alderman Brown, Birch Ferguson, Swiatek, Gagliardi and Short. Voting
Nay: 0. Motion carried.
Items for Discussion.
A. Cannabis Dispensary Sales - Alderman Gagliardi made a motion, seconded
by Alderman Brown to direct the item to Development Community. Voting Aye:
Chairman Chassee, Alderman Brown, Birch Ferguson, Swiatek, Gagliardi and
Short. Voting Nay: 0. Motion carried.

9. Adjournment. Alderman Birch Ferguson made a motion to adjourn, seconded by
Alderman Brown. The motion was approved by voice vote, and the meeting
adjourned at approximately 7:46pm.
