Call to Order and Establishment of a Quorum The meeting was called to order by Chairman Malina at 6:05 p.m. A quorum was established. 2. Certificate of Appropriateness Review A. C.0.A. 19-16 — 308 East Washington Street — Latifi Residence — Siding & Shutter Replacement Albano Latifi, property owner of 308 East Washington Street, located in the East Washington Street Historic District, is requesting approval to replace the siding and shutters on the existing two-family home on the property. The applicant will be replacing the existing 4” vinyl siding with Royal Woodland double 4.5” clapboard style vinyl siding with a Marine Blue color. All siding accessories will be of the same brand and color. The siding will have a low gloss natural cedar woodgrain pattern. In addition to replacing the siding, any rotting wood will be removed and replaced and new one-quarter inch thick fanfold insulation will be installed. All of the existing shutters will be replaced with the same style in a white color. The structure is an 1890’s Queen Anne/Free Classic considered to be in good condition. It is a contributing property but is not a candidate for local landmark status. After a brief discussion by the Commission, Vice Chairman Letsche made a motion to approve C.O.A. 19-16 as presented. Commissioner Garcia seconded the motion. The motion passed with an all aye vote. Approval of September 24, 2019 Meeting Minutes Chairman Malina made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Garcia, to approve the September 24, 2019 minutes. With a voice vote of two ayes and two abstentions, the motion carried. 6. Other Business Mr. Sterrett stated that the Historical Society will hire a structural engineer to evaluate the building before any action is taken on their part. Once the Historical Society takes the building, in addition to making any necessary repairs to make sure the building is structurally sound, current building code requirements will kick in to bring the building up to code if it is open to the public. 7. Adjournment Chairman Malina made a motion, seconded by Vice Chairman Letsche, to adjourn the meeting. With a voice vote of all ayes the motion carried. The meeting, at 6:21 p.m., adjourned.
