Call to Order, Roll Call, and Establishment of a Quorum. Chairman Beebe called the meeting to order at 7:05 P.M. Roll call found Commissioners Dan Beebe, John Symowicz, Joe Cavataio, Bethany Brown, Bob Blaus, and Kris Zimmermann present. Also in attendance was Assistant Director of Public Works, Tim Wilcox. 2. Approval of Minutes. A. Environmental Commission Minutes of September 18, 2019. Commissioner Blaus made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Symowicz to approve the meeting minutes of September 18, 2019. Voting Yea: Commissioners Beebe, Brown, Cavataio, Zimmermann, Blaus, and Symowicz. Voting Nay: 0. 3. Public Participation/Presentations. None 4. Items For Consent None 5. Review and discuss Commission Priority List. A. Review current priority list Adopt a Highway The October clean up event was discussed. There was a surprising amount of trash collected, and a lot of what was collected was plastics. It was also mentioned that the area in front of and around ABC looked much better this time. In the past there had been a good deal of trash and debris there. Pumpkin Recycling Event Two tons of pumpkins were collected in West Chicago at this year’s Pumpkin Smash event. Warrenville Park District contributed to the total collecting pumpkins from their community and delivering them to the roll off dumpster at First United Methodist Church. Holiday Light Recycling Groot dropped off the recycling totes at the Street Division. The totes will be set out at the same locations as last year on Friday of this week. B. Discuss new additions to priority list None. 6. Other Business The Environmental Commission Meeting scheduled for December 18, 2019 will be cancelled. 7. Adjournment At 7:24 P.M. Commissioner Blaus made a motion to adjourn. Commissioner Symowicz seconded the motion. Motion was unanimously approved by voice vote.
