Call to Order, Roll Call and Establishment of a Quorum Call meeting to order at 7:06pm: Roll call found Buddy Plumlee, Uwe Gsedl, Adriana Sarellana, Heidi Kuharich, Sara Phalen, Stephanie Ross, and City Liaison Rosemary Mackey in attendance. Quorum established. Mayor Pineda has determined that in-person meetings are not practical and prudent. 2. Approve Meeting Minutes of October 1, 2020 Heidi motions to approve minutes with the correction of adding “@heyitsmatthew” to section 5. Approval of Final Renderings for Existing Public Art Signage- Loveevenmore. Sara seconds motion. Minutes approved with correction. 3. Update on Autumn Haiku Installation & Summer Haiku Retrieval Buddy has completed his list and will update the master list. Some summer signs may be missing and may have been thrown out due to damage. Other signs retrieved were also dirty and/or damaged. Sign on 323 W Washington is nailed to the fence. Once all summer signs are collected, Rosemary will contact the poets to pick them up at the Gallery. The stakes will be left on the signs to avoid any damage if removed. Some suggestions for improving the process for next time are to either spread out the location between more volunteers or have a pick-up location (possibly at Bloomingfest) for the hosts and as an incentive they get to pick the haiku. Revisited idea of creating a 2020 Haiku book. Some other ideas were a 12 month or 16-month calendar. A third idea was to create an interactive Zine where the back pages would be blank for people to add their own Haiku. Item could be given away to participants and sold to the public. We could also use Print on Demand where people could place their order online. 4. Continue Discussion on West Chicago Garden Club Proposal for Bee Project The idea of working with another organization sounds appealing to Stephanie. Buddy is in favor of revisiting this idea once we have a clearer vision on the Garden Club’s involvement. Perhaps it would have been a good idea to have a debriefing after the butterfly project to discuss things that worked and areas that could be improved. Discussion to be continues at next meeting. 5. Approval of Final Renderings for Existing Public Art Signage Tampico approved sign for Juan’s mural. A permit is not needed to install the sign. All artists have approved signs and are ready to go into production. Buddy motions to approve signs and move forward with production. Voting Aye: Buddy, Sara, Stephanie, Heidi, Uwe, Adriana.
