===== PDF PAGE 1 ===== [Extraction: OCR (rendered-page OCR)] CITY OF WEST CHICAGO — 475 Main Street CITY COUNCIL MINUTES Regular Meeting January 4, 2021 The City Council meeting of January 4, 2021, was held partly remote (via Zoom) and partly on site due to the coronavirus pandemic. 1. Call to Order. Mayor Ruben Pineda (on site) called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. The Mayor said it was determined that in person meetings are not practical and prudent at this time. 2. Pledge of Allegiance. Alderman Brown led all in the pledge of allegiance. 3. Roll Call and Establishment of a Quorum. Roll call found Aldermen Lori J. Chassee, James E. Beifuss, Jr., Heather Brown, Jayme Sheahan, Alton Hallett, Michael D. Ferguson, Melissa Birch-Ferguson, Christopher Swiatek, Jeanne Short, Rebecca Stout, John E. Jakabesin and Noreen Ligino-Kubinski present remotely. Alderman Matthew Garling was present on site. Alderman Sandy Dimas was absent. The Mayor announced a quorum. Also in attendance was City Administrator Michael Guttman (remotely). City Clerk Nancy M. Smith attended on site. 4. Public Participation. There was no public participation. 5. City Council Meeting Minutes of December 21, 2020. Alderman Jakabcsin made a motion, seconded by Alderman Ferguson, to approve the minutes of December 21, 2020, with no changes. Voting Aye: Alderman Chassee, Beifuss, Brown, Sheahan, Ferguson, Hallett, Birch-Ferguson, Garling, Swiatek, Short, Stout, Jakabcsin, and Ligino-Kubinski. Motion carried. 6. Corporate Disbursement Report. Alderman Chassee made a motion, seconded by Alderman Garling, to accept the January 4, 2021, Corporate Disbursement Report in the amount of $411,976.47. Voting Aye: Aldermen Chassee, Beifuss, Brown, Sheahan, Hallett, Ferguson, Birch-Ferguson, Garling, Swiatek, Short, Stout, Jakabcsin, and Ligino-Kubinski. Voting 7. Consent Agenda - None Mayor Pineda recognized and congratulated Alderman Sheahan who was chosen as the Employee of the Year by her employer, FedEx. The Mayor, the Clerk, and the Aldermen recognized and thanked Alderman Ligino-Kubinski for her service. She is resigning effective January 5, 2021. 8. Adjournment. At 7:09 pm, Alderman Chassee made a motion, seconded by Alderman Stout, to adjourn. Voting Aye: Aldermen Chassee, Beifuss, Brown, Sheahan, Hallett, Ferguson, Birch-Ferguson, Garling, Swiatek, Short, Stout, Jakabcsin, and Ligino-Kubinski. Voting Nay: 0. Motion carried.
