The vote was tabled. Approve Minutes of May 6, 2021: Deborah Walsh made motion to approve, Heidi Kuharich seconded the motion; minutes approved unanimously. Update Status of Public Art Master Plan: a. Buddy Plumlee continues to work on drafting the Public Art Master Plan. b. Rosemary Mackey noted that she prepares and submits an annual report that reflects on last year’s work while looking to the future. National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Grant Webinar Update: a. Judith Horsley watched the webinar. The webinar was recorded and she will send the link to Rosemary Mackey for distribution to the other members after it is posted. Other Business: a. Heidi Kuharich requested assistance in recruiting new members to the Commission and emphasized diversity. The DuPage Symphony Orchestra will be playing at the “Christmas in July” event. Rosemary Mackey volunteered to contact Lily Medina and suggest the idea of passing out fans that children could color recognizing the DSO for the audience to use during the performance. Pending approval by the West Chicago Park District, the fans will include the CAC logo with the wording “The West Chicago Cultural Arts Commission wishes to thank the DuPage Symphony Orchestra for bringing music to our community!” on the front and “What do you wish for?” will be on the reverse in English and Spanish.
