CITY COUNCIL MINUTES
Regular Meeting
July 5, 2022
1. Call to Order. Mayor Ruben Pineda called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.
2. Pledge of Allegiance. Alderman Hallett led all in the Pledge of Allegiance.
3. Roll Call and Establishment of a Quorum.
Roll call found Lori J. Chassee, James E. Beifuss, Jr., Jayme Sheahan, Heather Brown, Sandy
Dimas, Melissa Birch Ferguson, Rebecca Stout, Alton Hallett, Christine Dettmann, Jeanne
Short, Christopher Swiatek, John E. Jakabcsin and Joseph C. Morano present. Alderman
Matthew Garling was absent. The Mayor announced a quorum.
Also in attendance were City Administrator Michael Guttman, City Attorney Patrick Bond,
Community Development Director Tom Dabareiner.
4. Public Participation. None
5. City Council Meeting Minutes of June 20, 2022. Alderman Morano made a motion,
seconded by Alderman Brown, to approve the minutes of June 20, 2022, with no changes.
Voting Aye by Roll Call Vote: Alderman Chassee, Beifuss, Sheahan, Brown, Birch Ferguson,
Swiatek, Jakabcsin, Hallett, Dettmann, Short, Dimas, Stout, and Morano. Motion carried.
6. Corporate Disbursement Report. Alderman Dimas made a motion, seconded by Alderman
Chassee to approve the July 5, 2022, Corporate Disbursement Report in the amount of
$634,302.48.
Voting Aye by Roll Call Vote: Alderman Chassee, Beifuss, Sheahan, Brown, Birch Ferguson,
Swiatek, Jakabcsin, Hallett, Dettmann, Short, Dimas, Stout, and Morano. Motion carried.
7. Consent Agenda

A. Approve — The Attendance of a Mobile Bar to Sell Alcoholic Beverages at Food Fest
— Scheduled for Saturday, August 27, 2022.
Alderman Stout made a motion, seconded by Alderman Birch Ferguson, to approve the above
item.
Voting Aye by Roll Call Vote: Alderman Chassee, Beifuss, Sheahan, Brown, Birch Ferguson,
Swiatek, Jakabcsin, Hallett, Dettmann, Short, Dimas, Stout, and Morano. Motion carried.

15. Adjournment. At 7:05 pm, Alderman Chassee made a motion, seconded by Alderman
Stout, to adjourn. All Aldermen voted aye by Voice Vote.
