MINUTES
ENVIRONMENTAL COMMISSION
June 15, 2022, 7:00 P.M.
ilk Call to Order, Roll Call, and Establishment of a Quorum.
Chairman Beebe called the meeting to order at 7:05 P.M. Roll call found Commissioners Dan Beebe,
Bethany Brown, Ethan Young, and Kris Zimmermann present. Commissioners Bob Blaus, and Anna
Leuer were absent.
Staff present included Assistant Director of Public Works, Tim Wilcox.
2. Approval of Minutes.
A. Environmental Commission Minutes of May 18, 2022. Commissioner Young made a
motion, seconded by Commissioner Brown to approve the Meeting Minutes of May 18,
2022.
Voting Yea: Commissioner Beebe, Brown, Young, and Zimmermann. Voting Nay: zero.

4. Items for Consent.
None
55 Review and discuss Commission Priority List.
A. Review current priority list
Blooming Fest
The recent event was discussed and compared to past events. It was raining and once thunder was heard,
the event was temporarily suspended. The number of attendees was greatly reduced once the event
resumed.
Annual Paper Shredding Event
The event held on June 4, 2022 was a success and members received positive feedback from attendees.
There was a total of 6,720 pounds of paper recycled at the event. The amount of sharps and expired
medications is currently unknown. Mr. Wilcox will contact Kay McKeen to inquire.

Rain Barrel Pickup Event
Seventeen rain barrels and one composter were delivered for pick up at the event. All were collected by
the owners during the event. Additional rain barrels were ordered from the City Website link for home
delivery.
B. Discuss new additions to priority list
None.

At 7:20 P.M., Commissioner Zimmermann made a motion to adjourn. Commissioner Brown seconded the
motion. Motion was unanimously approved by voice vote.
