REGULAR MEETING
August 9, 2022
Call to order, Establishment of a Quorum and Appointment of a Chairman Pro Temp
In attendance were Commissioners Kevin Millon and Edmond Moore. Chairman Keith Letsche is absent. A quorum is
established. Commissioner Million nominated Commissioner Moore to be appointed as Chairman Pro-Temp.
Chairman Pro-Temp Moore accepts and calls the meeting is called to order at 5:03 P.M. Also in attendance are HR
Coordinator Sash Dumanovic and Police Chief Colin Fleury.
Approval of Minutes
Motion by Commissioner Millon to approve the minutes from the July 12, 2022 Regular Civil Service Commission
meeting, seconded by Commissioner Moore. No further discussion and motion carried.

Items for Discussion and Possible Action
(a) Lateral Police Officer Application process update
i. A Lateral Entry Police Officer Eligibility Roster is established on August 9, 2022. Presently there are three
Lateral Entry candidates on the list.
ii. Due to retirements and openings in the Police Department Chief Fleury notifies the Commission that the
City is proceeded with hiring Lateral Officers per the West Chicago Civil Service Commission Rues and
Regulations.
(b) Police Officer Final Eligibility Register candidate status
i. Pre-employment steps have been completed for entry level police applicants. Commission action is
requested for candidates 24, 29 and 30 on the Final Eligibility Register for Entry Level Police Officer.

(8) Executive Session
Chairman Pro-Temp Moore stated: Pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(1) of the Open Meetings Act for matters relating to the
employment, appointment, compensation, discipline, performance, or disciplining of specific employees. A roll call
vote is taken: (Ayes) Commissioner Millon and Commissioner Moore. (Nays) None. (Absent) Commission Chairman
Letsche. (Abstain) None. The Commission adjourned to Executive Session at 5:07 P.M.
(9) When Applicable Items to be Referred for Final Action from Executive Session
The Commission adjourned to regular session at 5:19: P.M. Motion by Commissioner Millon to pass on candidate 24,
second by Chairman Pro-Temp Moore. No further discussion and motion carries.
(10) Adjournment
Motion made by Commissioner Millon, seconded by Chairman Pro-Temp Moore to adjourn the meeting. No further
discussion and motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 5:19 P.M.
