Guttman SIGNATURE ITEM SUMMARY:- On June 5, 1995, the City of West Chicago adopted Ordinance No. 2904, which established an Adopt-A-Highway Program with respect to the collection of litter in the street rights-of-way within the corporate limits of the City with various civic, not for profit organizations and other commercial and private enterprises. The West Chicago Garden Club has applied for participation in the City’s Adopt-A-Highway Program to collect litter within the right-of-way of Hawthorne Lane between Woodside Drive and Harvester Road. The term is for a minimum of two years and will continue in full effect until such time notice of termination is provided by mutual agreement between the City of West Chicago and the West Chicago Garden Club. Staff recommends approval of the attached application and Resolution No. 22-R-0045 authorizing the Mayor to execute an Agreement pursuant to the Illinois Adopt-A-Highway Act between the City of West Chicago and the West Chicago Garden Club. ACTIONS PROPOSED: Approve Resolution No. 22-R-0045 authorizing the Mayor to execute an Agreement pursuant to the Illinois Adopt-A- Highway Act between the City of West Chicago and the West Chicago Garden Club for Hawthorne Lane between Woodside Drive and Harvester Road. COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: The Infrastructure Committee voted 5-0 for approval.
