Chairman Beebe called the meeting to order at 7:03 P.M. Roll call found Commissioners Dan Beebe, Bob Blaus, Bethany Brown, Alyssa Rodway, Ethan Young, and Kris Zimmermann present. b. Staff present included Assistant Director of Public Works, Dave Shah. 2. Approval of Minutes. a. Environmental Commission Minutes of July 20, 2022. i. Commissioner Blaus made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Rodway to approve the Meeting Minutes. ii. Voting Yea: Commissioner Beebe, Blaus, Brown, Rodway Young, and Zimmermann. Voting Nay: zero. 3. Public Participation/Presentations. a. None 4. Items for Consent. a. None 5. Review and discuss Commission Priority List. a. Current List i. None b. New Addition i. None 6. Other Business a. Adopt-A-Highway Events i. Ball Horticulture and Environmental Commission successfully completed their clean-up events on October 7, 2022, and October 8, 2022, respectively. The Garden Club will be holding its clean-up event along Hawthorne Ln on October 22, 2022. b. Pumpkin Smash Through SCARCE i. Commissioner Blaus mentioned starting advertising for the event. Shah mentioned that there is a flyer created, which will be shared with the commissioners. It was also discussed that social media should be used to promote the event. c. Chairman Beebe announced the new member of the Commission, Alyssa Rodway. iii. Commissioner and the City Staff Liaison introduced themselves, provided their background, and why they volunteer their time to the Commission. iv. Chairman Beebe and Commissioner Zimmermann had concerns with refuse pick up as the yard waste and trash were picked up and dumped in the same truck. Shah to follow up with Groot. v. Chairman Beebe mentioned that Holiday Light Recycling is coming up and City staff coordinates with Groot. Shah to coordinate. 7. Adjournment a. At 8:04 P.M., Commissioner Blaus made a motion to adjourn. Commissioner Brown seconded the motion. The motion was unanimously approved by voice vote. .
