At the January 23, 2023 meeting of the Public Affairs Committee, Upland Design Ltd., the consultant
contracted by the City for park planning services for the former Kerr-McGee site, presented a Draft
Community Plan for the future park site on the property. Following the discussion of the draft Plan,
members of the Committee directed Upland to prepare a phasing plan for the development of the
park and include the anticipated cost of construction associated with each phase. Members also re-
quested additional information for the proposed playground area and sensory garden with respect to
ADA amenities.
Upland has prepared this information and will present it at the August 21, 2023 meeting of the Public
Affairs Committee.
ACTIONS PROPOSED:
Following the presentation by Upland Design, Ltd. the Committee should discuss and make a rec-
ommendation to the City Council for adoption of the Community Park Plan.
