Public Participation: N/A 3. Approve Minutes of November 7, 2023 a. Bruce Treudt made motion to approve, Deborah Walsh seconded; Approved unanimously 4. Items for Discussion and Possible Action a. West Chicago Water Tower Font Selection i. Discussion over four choices presented included concerns of serif v nonserif fonts, kerning, and point size, especially relating to differences of “City of” line to “West Chicago” line ii. With notes on kerning and pt size adjustments (kerning too wide and “City of” needs to be smaller), Bruce Treudt made motion to approve ITC Garamond Bold, Uwe Gsedl seconded; Approved unanimously b. Art Banner Exhibit 2024 1. Follow-up discussion on adding frames to lightposts for eye-level information, QR codes, voting assistance (People’s Choice Award), etc. 2. Potential juror shortlist discussion continued c. Loteria Follow-Up i. Heidi Kuharich reported all cards have been removed with exception of Villa/Hirschauer office card in hopes of photo op with Senator Villa, Rep Hirschauer, Asia Marie Bell d. Cultural Arts Commission Master Plan Progress i. Dan Peck reported trial set-up of survey; confirmed no photos could be added as samples; discussion on including simple write-ups instead; survey will need to be in Spanish as well (same page—not separate file) ii. Discussion on target date for completion: March 2024 iii. Uwe Gsedl and Bruce Treudt provided update on public art photos taken so far; these photos will also be used for website 5. Other Business a. Dan Peck requested next meeting be moved to second Thursday of month: January 11, 2024 b. Uwe Gsedl provided update on Sister Cities 25th anniversary in 2024: visit scheduled for 5.9.24-5.20.24, signage will be going up around town to publicize 6.
