The Church has requested use of City streets for a procession and Police services for assistance with traffic control and gatherings in the street at each “altar,” then they would continue onto the sidewalk until the next altar. The Police and Church have come up with a modified, safe route and the Church will be paying for the extra police assistance. All fees incurred for police services have been agreed upon and paid by the event organizer after the event. The Special Event Permit Application, which includes the requests of the City, has been reviewed and approved by staff from the Police, Public Works, and Community Development Departments as well as the West Chicago Fire Protection District. The Special Event Permit Application is attached, which includes the procession route map.
