PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE
Monday, March 17, 2025, 6:15 P.M.
Call to Order, Roll Call, and Establishment of a Quorum.
Chairman Chassee called the meeting to order at 6:15pm. Roll Call found Alderman
Brown, Hallett, Birch Ferguson, Smith and Banas.
Alderman Short was not present.
Approval of Minutes.
A. Public Affairs Committee Minutes of January 20, 2025. Alderman Hallett made
a motion, seconded by Alderman Banas to approve the minutes of the Public Affairs
Committee. Voting Aye: Chairman Chassee, Alderman Brown, Hallett, Birch Ferguson
Smith and Banas. Voting Nay: 0. Abstain: 0. Motion carried.
Public Participation / Presentations.
Items for Consent.
A. Stations of the Cross — St. Mary’s Church - Alderman Birch Ferguson made a
motion, seconded by Alderman Banas to direct this item to City Council for approval.
Voting Aye: Chairman Chassee, Alderman Brown, Hallett, Birch Ferguson, Smith and
Banas. Voting Nay: Abstain: 0. Motion carried.
Items for Discussion.
A. Downtown Parking. Kelley Chrisse, Business & Community Relations Director,
met with the business owners of Main Street and discussed parking issues. The city and
the police department are working together to come up with solutions to these issues.

9. Adjournment. Alderman Hallett made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Alderman
Banas. The motion was approved by voice vote, and the meeting adjourned at
approximately 6:29pm.
