Selection of Chairman and Vice Chairman Alderman Morano nominated Alderman Hallett as the Chairman of the Public Affairs Committee, seconded by Alderman Smith and the vote was unanimous for approval. Alderman Brown nominated Alderman Smith as the Vice Chairman of the Public Affairs Committee, seconded by Alderman Morano and the vote was unanimous for approval. 3. Approval of Minutes. A. Public Affairs Committee Minutes of April 21, 2025. Alderman Brown made a motion, seconded by Alderman Smith to approve the minutes of the Public Affairs Committee. Illegal parking on Route 38 (West Chicago Social Club). Chief Fleury addressed the Committee with the parking issues that have been occurring on the weekends on Route 38 near the West Chicago Social Club. The city currently has an ordinance to enforce parking in this area, however there are no parking signs in place. The Chief will work with Public Works Director Mehul Patel to have these no parking signs put on both sides of the street.
