           CULTURAL ARTS COMMISSION MINUTES
                        Thursday, December 11, 2025
                 West Chicago City Hall – 475 Main Street
                                   7:00 p.m.

                      AGENDA

1.  Call to Order, Roll Call, Establishment of a Quorum
Chairman Kuharich called the meeting to order at 7:07p.m. Roll call indicated that
Chairmain Kuharich and Commissioners Gsedl, Hernandez, Plumlee, Renwick, and
Walsh were present. Also in attendance were Commission Liaison Alderwoman
Alcantar-Garcia, and Events & Cultural Programs Manager Nicolette Stefan.

2.  Public Participation
None

3. Approval of Cultural Arts Commission Meeting Minutes: November 6, 2025
Commissioner Plumlee made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Hernandez, to
approve the November 6, 2025 meeting minutes. The motion was carried by unanimous
voice vote.

4.  Items for Discussion and Possible Action
         a.  2026 Meeting Dates Calendar
                             i. The scheduled May 7 meeting date was adjusted to April 30, since
                       there is a lot of activity and discussion anticipated before
                  Blooming Fest. The 2026 meeting calendar was approved by the
                    commissioners with future adjustments to be made if needed.
        b.  2026 Art Banner Exhibit
                             i. The commissioners approved the current work plan with updates
                   and additions as needed.
5. Other Business
         a.  Community Liaison & Talent Form updates
                             i. The commissioners provided updates regarding the contact made
                    with their community liaisons.
        b.  Initiative 2A Fountain Basin

i. The commissioners discussed the process and materials that would
                   be needed for this new initiative. Budget and other information
                       will be explored by Ms. Stefan and potential artists will be
                     contacted once information is provided to Commissioner Renwick.
         c.  Initiative 5 Chalk the Walk
                             i. The commissioners discussed the community art corner and the
                      design.
6. Adjournment
Commissioner Hernandez made a motion to adjourn, which was seconded by
Commissioner Renwick. The motion carried by a unanimous voice vote. The meeting
adjourned at 8:49 p.m.
