ITEM SUMMARY:
West Chicago Park District is requesting police services at Battle of the Bands taking place on August 15.
The Park District has received a temporary liquor license. The Special Event Permit Application has been
reviewed and approved by staff from the Police, Public Works, Business & Community Relations, and
Community Development Departments as well as the West Chicago Fire Protection District.
ACTIONS PROPOSED:
Recommend approval of police assistance at the event, contingent upon submittal and approval of
required insurance documentation.
COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION:
This item is being presented to the Public Affairs Committee for consideration prior to the City Council
meeting.
