                            MINUTES

                      PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE

                         Monday, March 16, 2026, 6:15 P.M.

1.      Call to Order, Roll Call, and Establishment of a Quorum.

       Chairman Smith called the meeting to order at 6:15pm.  Roll Call found Alderman Alcántar-
        Garcia, Aviña-Soto, Carreto-Muñoz and Morano.

       Alderman Birch-Ferguson and Santiago were not present.

2.     Approval of Minutes.

       A.     Public Affairs Committee Minutes of February 17, 2026.  Alderman Morano made a
       motion, seconded by Alderman Alcantar-Garcia to approve the minutes of the Public Affairs
       Committee. Voting Aye: Chairman Smith, Alcántar-Garcia, Aviña-Soto, Carreto-Muñoz and
       Morano. Voting Nay: 0. Abstain: 0. Motion carried.

3.      Public Participation / Presentations.

4.     Items for Consent.

       A.      St. Mary’s Special Event Permit Application. Alderman Birch-Ferguson made a motion,
       seconded by Alderman Carreto-Muñoz to direct this item to City Council for approval. Voting
       Aye: Chairman Smith, Alcántar-Garcia, Aviña-Soto, Carreto-Muñoz and Morano. Voting Nay: 0.
        Abstain: 0. Motion carried.
       B.     Western DuPage Chamber of Commerce America 250 Parade Pre-Funding Agreement.
       Alderman Morano made a motion, seconded by Alderman Alcantar-Garcia to approve the
       minutes of the Public Affairs Committee. Voting Aye: Chairman Smith, Alcántar-Garcia, Aviña-
        Soto, Carreto-Muñoz and Morano. Voting Nay: 0. Abstain: 0. Motion carried.

5.     Items for Discussion and Possible Action.

       A. One-Way Sign on Kenwood Street at Pioneer School. Chairman Smith moved the item to
        next months meeting.

       A.    West Chicago Police Department Monthly Reports.
       B.     City Museum Annual Report

9.     Adjournment.  Alderman Alcantar-Garcia made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Alderman
       Morano. The motion was approved by voice vote, and the meeting adjourned at approximately
       6:45pm.
