Call to Order, Roll Call, Establishment of a Quorum Chairman Kuharich called the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m. Roll call indicated that Chairman Kuharich and Commissioners Garcia, Gsedl, Hernandez, Plumlee, Renwick, and Treudt were present. Also in attendance were Commission Liaison Alderwoman Alcantar-Garcia (7:08 p.m.), and Events & Cultural Programs Manager Nicolette Stefan. 2. Public Participation None. 3. Approval of Cultural Arts Commission Meeting Minutes: April 2, 2026 Commissioner Hernandez made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Plumlee to approve the April 2, 2026, meeting minutes. The motion was carried by unanimous voice vote. 4. Items for Discussion and Possible Action 5. Other Business a. 2026 Art Banner Exhibit next steps i. Staff provided an update regarding the date the banners will go up, news item and social media post. Commissioner Gsedl to put together pdf map that can be dropped off at locations in the downtown. b. Initiative 2A: Fountain Basin updates i. Staff provided an update regarding the fountain basin. Commissioners were all urged to attend the unveiling at Blooming Fest. c. Staff provided an update about Chalk the Walk. Chairman Kuharich volunteered to be a juror. Commissioners will each work an hour shift during Blooming Fest in the Community Corner. d. Arteculture updates i. Commissioner Plumlee provided updates about the plans for Arteculture. Refreshments to be provided by Commission. e. Loteria updates i. Chairman Kuharich provided updates regarding Loteria, taking place during 4 Mosaic Market nights. Chairman Kuharich and Commissioner Garcia to work together on a timeline. f. Art Maintenance i. Signa Rotae to be repaired by Commissioner Plumlee by May 31. g. Public Art Inventory i. Public Art Inventory and interactive map to be further discussed at a future meeting, map to include previous banner installations. 6.
