                            MINUTES

                      PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE

                          Monday, May 18, 2026, 6:15 P.M.

1.      Call to Order, Roll Call, and Establishment of a Quorum.

       Alderman Morano called the meeting to order at 6:19pm.  Roll Call found Alderman Alcántar-
        Garcia, Aviña-Soto, Carreto-Muñoz and Birch-Ferguson.

       Chairman Smith and Santiago were not present.

2.     Approval of Minutes.

       A.     Public Affairs Committee Minutes of April 20, 2026. Alderman Alcántar-Garcia made a
       motion, seconded by Alderman Aviña-Soto to approve the minutes of the Public Affairs
       Committee.  Voting Aye: Alderman  Alcántar-Garcia,  Aviña-Soto,  Carreto-Muñoz,  Birch-
       Ferguson and Morano. Voting Nay: 0. Abstain: 0. Motion carried.

3.      Public Participation / Presentations.

4.     Items for Consent.

       A.    CF Cycle of Life Event Permit - Alderman Alcantar-Garcia made a motion, seconded by
       Alderman Birch-Ferguson to direct this item to City Council for approval. Voting Aye: Alderman
        Alcántar-Garcia, Aviña-Soto, Carreto-Muñoz, Birch-Ferguson and Morano. Voting Nay:  0.
        Abstain: 0. Motion carried.

       B.     Spooky Trail Event Permit - Alderman Alcantar-Garcia made a motion, seconded by
       Alderman Birch-Ferguson to direct this item to City Council for approval. Voting Aye: Alderman
        Alcántar-Garcia, Aviña-Soto, Carreto-Muñoz, Birch-Ferguson and Morano. Voting Nay:  0.
        Abstain: 0. Motion carried.

5.     Items for Discussion and Possible Action.

       A.     Big Boy Special Event Permit - Alderman Birch-Ferguson made a motion, seconded by
       Alderman Alcántar-Garcia to direct this item to City Council for approval. Voting Aye: Alderman
        Alcántar-Garcia, Aviña-Soto, Carreto-Muñoz, Birch-Ferguson and Morano. Voting Nay:  0.
        Abstain: 0. Motion carried.

9.     Adjournment.  Alderman Alcántar-Garcia made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Alderman
       Aviña-Soto. The  motion was  approved by  voice  vote,  and  the  meeting  adjourned  at
       approximately 6:36pm.
