ITEM SUMMARY: 
 
Parker Rippinger, owner of the single-family home at 348 Arbor Avenue, a locally landmarked proper-
ty, is requesting approval of a Certificate of Appropriateness to install a fence along the north, south, 
and west property lines, behind the front of the house. The proposed fence will be a six (6) foot tall 
cedar dog-ear shadowbox. This fence will replace the existing fence on the property. The fence com-
plies with all zoning requirements.  
 
The home is Queen Anne, which was constructed in 1891 and considered to be a significant structure. 
It was locally landmarked by the City in 1996. No modifications are proposed for the home. Please 
see the attached Plat of Survey and fence contract for more information.   
 
 
ACTION PROPOSED: 
 
Consideration of a fence installation at the home of 348 Arbor Avenue.
