Before a meeting

Agendas show planned business; approved minutes document decisions afterward. Open the record for the specific body and confirm changes or special meetings.

Published schedules can become stale. The source page still displays a 2025 schedule. Use each meeting's official agenda and notice to confirm the date, time, location, and participation options.

Addressing the City Council

Official rules direct speakers to use the podium, state their name, and address the Council as a whole. Comment may be limited to three minutes. Read the complete rules before attending.

Open the appropriate public body to find recent meetings, packets, agendas, cancellations, and archived minutes. The newest documents are published on the official meeting pages and may appear there after the general editorial content is updated.

General meeting patterns

Council and committees

  • Council: first and third Mondays, 7 p.m.
  • Finance: first Monday, 6 p.m.
  • Development: second Monday, 6 p.m.
  • Infrastructure: first Thursday, 7 p.m.
  • Public Affairs: third Monday, 6:15 p.m.

Regular commissions

  • Civil Service: second Tuesday, 5 p.m.
  • Cultural Arts: first Thursday, 7 p.m.
  • Environmental: third Thursday, 6 p.m.
  • Historical Preservation: fourth Tuesday, 6 p.m.
  • Planning and Zoning: first and third Tuesdays, 7 p.m.

Variable or as needed

Some bodies meet quarterly, on varying dates, or only when called. Most meetings are at City Hall, 475 Main Street, unless an official notice says otherwise.
