City of West Chicago and Despertar Latino Announce Mexican Independence Day Festival 2025
The City of West Chicago and Despertar Latino are proud to announce the upcoming Mexican Independence Day Festival, taking place in Downtown West Chicago on Sunday, September 14, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. This vibrant celebration will honor the rich cultural heritage through music, food, dance, family-friendly activities, and a 13-foot piñata. We invite all residents and visitors to join us for this special event. More information will be shared soon.
This event is sponsored by the City of West Chicago and hosted by Despertar Latino, in partnership with the Mexican Cultural Center of DuPage, WeGo Together For Kids, and Casa Michoacan DuPage, with the support of West Chicago School Districts 33 and 94, the West Chicago City Museum, and People Made Visible.
