Garbage Rates Effective January 2026
As part of the City’s existing Refuse Hauling Contract with Groot Industries, Inc., residential solid waste collection rates will be increased beginning January 1, 2026 as follows:
Garbage Service Fee Per Month:
- 35-Gallon cart (Senior Rate): $13.00 (increase of $0.50)
- 35-Gallon cart (Regular Rate): $20.53 (increase of $0.79)
- 95-Gallon cart: $24.69 (increase of $0.95)
Additional Service Changes:
- Universal Sticker: $3.12 (increase of $0.12)
- Yard Waste Cart Annual Subscription: $208 (increase of $8)
In addition, we will continue to apply the brush collection charge of $5.25 per quarter.
These yearly adjustments keep waste services reliable and cost-effective for residents. The contract ensures that programs such as bulk item collection week, holiday tree collection, and free leaf collection continue at no additional costs.
