2025 People’s Choice Recipient – Kelley Cappell Art Exhibit
The City of West Chicago and Gallery 200 invite the public to celebrate Kelley Cappell, recipient of the 2025 People’s Choice Award from the West Chicago Annual Art Banner Exhibit. Her artwork, Protect Our Oceans, was selected by the community from 17 submissions displayed throughout downtown West Chicago during the 2025 summer exhibit.

About the Annual Art Banner Exhibit
The City of West Chicago hosts an annual Art Banner Exhibit inviting artists to submit original artwork inspired by a unique theme selected each year by the City’s Cultural Arts Commission.
Submitted works are reviewed by a juror, and selected pieces are reproduced as street pole banners throughout downtown West Chicago, creating a vibrant outdoor gallery.During the exhibit, the public is invited to vote for their favorite artwork. The piece receiving the most votes is recognized as the People’s Choice Award recipient.

In recognition of America 250, the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, the theme for the 2026 Art Banner Exhibit is: Red, White, Blue / Rojo, Blanco, Azul
