Citywide (Amnesty Day) Collection Begins the Week of May 4
The 2026 Citywide (Amnesty Day) Collection will take place Monday, May 4 through Friday, May 8.
During this week, Groot Industries, Inc. will collect an unlimited amount of acceptable refuse from each resident (Groot customer) on their regularly scheduled garbage pickup day. Each pile of acceptable items must have eight (8) universal stickers affixed.
Acceptable Items (examples Include):General household items from garage, attic, or basement cleanouts, including furniture, mattresses, carpeting (cut and bundled), bicycles, grills, and small quantities of bundled household construction materials. Unacceptable Items (examples Include):
Appliances, electronics, batteries, hazardous waste, fluids, automotive parts, tires, and propane tanks.
