Washington Street Railroad Crossing Closure – May 2
Washington Street will be closed at the railroad crossing on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for major repairs.
During this project, CN will remove the existing rubber crossing surface, raise the track structure, reinstall the rubber panels, and install new asphalt approaches adjacent to the crossing.
Detour Information
- Motorists traveling westbound on Washington Street will be detoured at Wood Street, then directed to Church Street, Clara Street, and back to Washington Street.
- Motorists traveling eastbound on Washington Street will be detoured at Clara Street, then directed to Church Street, Wood Street, and back to Washington Street.
Motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes, allow additional travel time, and use caution when traveling near the work zone.
