Effective communication

Upon request, the City provides auxiliary aids and services to support effective communication for people with disabilities. Submit a request as soon as possible, preferably 30 calendar days in advance.

Reasonable modifications

The City makes reasonable modifications to policies and procedures so people with disabilities have equal access to programs, services, and activities.

File an ADA grievance

A complaint should describe the alleged discrimination and include the complainant’s name and contact information plus the location, date, and description of the problem. Alternative ways to file are available upon request.

  1. Submit the complaint as soon as possible, preferably within 60 calendar days of the alleged violation.
  2. The ADA Coordinator meets with the complainant within 15 calendar days after receiving the complaint.
  3. The City responds within 15 calendar days after the meeting, in an accessible format when appropriate.
  4. If the result does not resolve the issue, the decision may be appealed within 15 calendar days after receiving the response.
